Is your Customers' data safe?

Silly question? Of course the data is safe, particularly after the extra reviews and controls you introduced following a number of Public sector "errors" (e.g. 25 million customer details lost on CDs by the Revenue).

So from your position of certainty consider that the FBI has just arrested two men charged with stealing customer data from the data base of US mortgage lender Countrywide Financial and selling it onto third parties. One of them was a systems analyst working for the company. He removed the information on flash drives, sometimes to specific order.

Now of course that's in the United States not the UK where all our employees are honest and reliable, so it really could not happen here! Could it?

Well lets be fair, even if it could happen how can you prevent against that type of action by your own employees? Well there are solutions as it happens. Follow this link and then click on Database Security.
